A Beach Session: What to expect

Congrats you booked a beach session with me! I have a beach session nearly everyday of the Summer so I feel confident enough to share some of my tips to help you better prepare for our session
Arrive early. Parking in the on-season is NUTS.
Be prepared to arrive early and hunt for parking - especially if you're session is at Wrightsville Beach. All spots are pay-to-park so also be prepared to pay for your space. I believe parking is around $6 an hour.
Make a smart pick with your shoes.
Wear shoes that will do well in the sand and won’t drive you nuts. Or honestly, wear no shoes! I tell my group's plan to all be the same. So if someone is going barefoot, all go barefoot. Nothing looks sillier than one person standing there in Nikes while everyone else is barefoot.
Make your hair wind ready.
There are days when there is not a breeze in sight on the mainland and you get to the beach and it's like a small tornado there. If you have long hair, consider bringing extra hairspray, bobby pins, or the possibility you may have to put your hair up.
Things may get messy.
You would think it goes without saying, you will get sandy. I often have clients very worried about getting sand on their clothes, or not wanting any drops of water on them. When you do sessions on the beach, embrace the beach! If you want a totally clean look I would recommend another location!
Consider access with less distractions
I often push clients to Carolina Beach or Fort Fisher because of the cleaner shots they make. We tend to get less homes in the background at some of the access there (for example the North End Pier, or anywhere at fort Fisher and that beach).
