Why have one location when you can have two?

Shall we talk about Nathan and Moriahs engagement photos? We shall.

Nathan had the vision of doing two very different locations, The Arboretum and the beach so we ended up doing a back-to-back full and mini session. It worked out perfectly for creating a diverse gallery that had that really rich green color palette at the park with the pop of azaleas and the beautiful north end of Wrightsville Beach.

This couple got married in Vegas in June and I love that so much. Moriah is from that area but you already know I am picturing how creative you can get with the whole Las Vegas Strip at your disposal! Keeping that in mind, the whole session I was trying to find the PERFECT spot to do a ring shot that would also tie into that desert vibe their wedding photos would have.

Starting at the park we were able to accommodate two outfit changes and did a full walk around the gardens hitting all of the spots that were fully in bloom. This couple was SO easy going and fun to work with. It really felt like being with old friends versus clients, and I always love when that happens. I was able to get a lot of behind the scenes footage which later made for some sweet reels on Instagram.

Once we got the very north end of Wrightsville (right over by Shell Island Resort) we practically had the beach to ourselves - which you already know is rare. Here we were able to do some more playful prompts vs. posing and I finally found the most perfect spot for that ring detail shot I hinted at earlier. There were some gorgeous mature agave plants right on the sidewalk and I was able to slip the ring on one of the leaves and it made for probably my favorite ring shot ever.

Once we finished up with the sand photos we even had enough time to walk over to the marsh on the opposite side of the road and take some photos there. This location is extra special because if it’s not low tide, you aren’t getting out there.
